Do not worry it had been cooked, it was like eating a piece of bark! I saw the show last year at Thamesmead Library and that time I ate crickets - also fried. The worm was better tasting I thought.

The Big Bug Show
The BBS was just at Welling Library doing his show for the Summer Reading Scheme (The Reading Rollercoaster) cockroaches, millipedes, giant snails, bird eating spiders and Mopane Wom snacks for those who wanted to try and eat one (I did). For those that do not know mopane worms look like this:
